Jeep Scrambler (CJ-8) 1981-1986 . Introduced in 1981, the Scrambler (CJ-8) was a lengthened version of Jeep’s popular CJ-7. It came equipped with a 103.5” wheelbase and featured a removable half-cab. The Scrambler was marketed as a convertible pickup, because it shared the removable top/convertible qualities of the other CJ models. In total, less than 30,000 Jeep Scramblers were produced between 1981 and 1986. . .
